What is an EAP? 

EAP stands for Employee Assistance Program and is a free, voluntary counselling service provided by Associated Employee Assistance Providers in partnership with your employer. These sessions offer staff the opportunity to discuss workplace or personal concerns in a safe, neutral and confidential environment. 

How many sessions can I have? 

To find out how many 50-minute counselling sessions you have, contact our friendly admin team on (02) 8007 7474. Your sessions can be used within a 12-month period, commencing from the date of your first appointment. If you miss an appointment or cancel within 48 hours, this will count towards your session allocation and your employer will be charged for the missed session.

Is this service confidential? 

Yes. Everything about the service is confidential, and you can contact the team directly with any enquiries or booking requests without speaking to HR or a company representative first. 

Your employer will not have any knowledge of your enquiry, appointments or anything discussed with your therapist during the session, unless you provide your consent. 

What can I use this service for? 

You can use this service to discuss any personal or work-related issues, including: 

• Interpersonal conflict, stress and burnout, workplace bullying, communication difficulties and anger issues. 
• Relationship or family issues, depression, anxiety and stress, addiction, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions and major changes. 

Where do I attend?

Sessions can take place at one of the practice locations across Greater Sydney, online via video call or by phone. Face-to-face appointments are also available through the affiliate network in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Let the team know what is most convenient and they will do their best to accommodate your preference.

How can I book? 

Call the admin team on (02) 8007 7474 between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and they will help arrange an appointment with a suitable counsellor. 

When calling, advise that you are accessing sessions through your EAP and provide the name of your company or organisation.
